MidGuard™ Appliance Platform

In the past, monitoring, management and reporting systems for corporate information infrastructure have been delivered as costly application software, requiring large and expensive servers to host them and their databases.  Often web-functionality was added as an afterthought requiring the purchase of a web-server and additional licenses.

MidGuard is different; a sophisticated next-generation monitoring platform, MidGuard has been developed using modern component based, object oriented software design methodologies and has been developed for the internet-age from the ground up with the web as its primary interface.

Hosted on its own customised hardware platform, the MidGuard Appliance, it is simply installed into a 19" rack, where the appliance consumes only 1 RU of space. The MidGuard Appliance ensures secure and robust network access for the MidGuard application and delivers a high degree of reliability and system uptime without requiring intervention from local support staff.  The MidGuard Appliance eliminates not only the costly and time consuming overheads of hardware procurement and configuration but also the ongoing support overheads.  Linked securely and electronically to the IXIF Operations Centre, MidGuard appliances can be continuously upgraded and updated to meet customer needs without consuming valuable local staff time.
